At FreeState, we’re always looking for ways to make things a little easier for our members.

We have an effortless bill-paying option with the Automatic Monthly Payment (AMP) Program. With AMP, your electric bill is paid automatically on the 5th each month—so you don’t have to worry about due dates, missed payments, or late fees.

If you enroll by July 1, you’ll be entered for a chance to receive one of two $500 bill credits.

Official Rules and Regulations

1. Sponsor 

This promotion is sponsored by FreeState Electric Cooperative, Inc. (“FreeState”), located at 1100 SW Auburn Rd., Topeka, KS 66615. 

2. Promotion Period 

The promotion begins on Friday, May 1, 2026, and ends at 11:59 p.m. (CT) on July 1, 2026 (“Promotion Period”). Entries received after this time will not be eligible. 

3. Eligibility 

The promotion is open to active residential members of FreeState who: 

  • Are at least 18 years of age at the time of entry
  • Have an active residential account with FreeState 

Commercial accounts, temporary accounts, PowerPay accounts, trustees and employees of FreeState (and their immediate family members or household members) are not eligible to participate. 

4. How to Enter 

Eligible members will automatically receive one (1) entry into the drawing by completing the following during the Promotion Period: 

  • Signing up for automatic payments (bank draft or recurring debit/credit card) 

Members who are already enrolled in the AMP program (automatic monthly payments) prior to the start of the Promotion Period will be automatically entered into the drawing. Any member participating in automatic payments by July 1, 2026, at 12:00 a.m. will be entered.   

Drawing will be held August 3, 2026, and credit will be applied to the August bill for July usage.  

One (1) entry per eligible member (based on customer number). 

5. Prize 

Two (2) winners will receive a bill credit valued at $500, which will be applied to the winner’s primary residential account. The bill credit will only be applied to one active residential meter (account).  

  • The prize is non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash.
  • The bill credit will be applied in accordance with FreeState billing practices until the total credit amount is exhausted.
  • Any remaining balance after application of the credit is the responsibility of the member.
  • If a member account becomes inactive, the bill credit is forfeited.  

6. Winner Selection & Notification 

  • The winner will be selected in a random drawing conducted by FreeState on Monday, August 3, 2026.
  • The winner will be notified using the contact information associated with their account.
  • If the selected winner cannot be contacted or does not respond within 20 days, an alternate winner may be selected. 

7. Conditions of Participation 

By participating, entrants agree to: 

  • Be bound by these Official Rules and the decisions of FreeState, which are final
  • Allow FreeState to use their name, likeness, and general location for promotional purposes without additional compensation, unless prohibited by law
  • Remain enrolled in the AMP Program for a minimum of six months.  

8. General Conditions 

FreeState reserves the right to: 

  • Modify, suspend, or terminate the promotion, if necessary, due to unforeseen circumstances
  • Disqualify any participant who tampers with the entry process or violates these rules 

9. Limitation of Liability 

FreeState is not responsible for: 

  • Technical issues, system failures, or incomplete enrollments
  • Incorrect or outdated contact information 

10. Privacy 

Information collected will be used in accordance with FreeState’s privacy policies and only for purposes of administering this promotion and member services.
