Before service can be established, a membership application needs to be on file. Please note, you can add a second person. You may also add an agent to your account. An agent is allowed to receive information regarding your account, but is not responsible for payment, nor has any ownership of the account including access to voting or capital credits. 

To fill out the form, download it first by clicking the blue text below the image to the right. Once filled out, you can save the file and submit it to the cooperative.

Start/Transfer Service

Click here to have an existing electric service transferred or energized in your name. If you would like to transfer or energize more than one meter or location, please return to this service portal for the additional services. Currently, this sign-up method is only for existing residential accounts. Please call the office for Commercial services or to build a new service.

FreeState serves nine Kansas counties and provides distribution infrastructure to Fort Leavenworth.
