Since 2012, the electric cooperatives that came together to form FreeState Electric have been participating in CoBank’s Sharing Success program.
CoBank, rural America's cooperative bank, is one of the largest private providers of credit to the rural economy. CoBank is committed to giving back to the communities served by their cooperative customer-owners through charitable donations and volunteer efforts that make life better in rural communities.
Sharing Success is an annual fund that matches the contributions of FreeState employees to the charitable organizations and causes they care about most. The program began in 2012.
This is FreeState's annual internal fundraising drive. The money donated by our employees is then matched dollar-for-dollar (up to the annual limit) by CoBank (our lender) and given to a board-designated charity.
